CAMEO

Alicia is a professional dance artist and musician. After training at PNB and Alonzo King Lines Ballet, she moved to Seattle and has worked for choreographers Beth Twigs, Alana O. Rogers, Cameo and more.

Ashley Menestrina is a movement artist, performer, teacher, and choreographer. Her repertoire of solo works: Always a Creature , The Human Condition: Absent Presence, and Combative Echoes have been performed in eight countries and received numerous awards from festival juries. Since moving to Seattle in 2021, Ashley has created a new work thanks to Velocity Dance Center’s Bridge Project program. This creation was performed at SIDF and Gonzaga University where she also commissioned a new work for their repertory company. Additionally, Ashley has worked with Anna Mlasowsky for the Amazon A.I.R program, Emily Schoen Branch, and Maia Melene Durfee in collaborative processes. She is performing a new work at Show 5 on July 7th thanks to Emma Lawes’ and Maya Rose’s collaborative initiative called co-.

Cameo is a choreographer and performer from Kaneohe, HI. She has been based in Seattle since 2015. Her work has been shown at On the Boards, Velocity Dance Center, Erickson Theater, 12th Ave Arts, Kirkland Performance Center, Base: Experimental Arts + Space, Yaw Theater, Electric Lodge, and more. She’s performed for choreographers Alice Gosti, Kate Wallich, Maria Malstrom, and others. As a selected artist for Ellenore Scott's The Breaking Glass Project, she received choreographic and administrative mentorships from Sidra Bell and Nia-Amina Minor. Cameo was also a recipient of SeattleDances’ 2017 DanceCrush award and 2019’s James Ray Residency. She is part of the incoming cohort of MFA dancers at the University of Washington.

Erica Badgeley (she/her) is a Seattle born and based dance artist with extensive experience dancing in Europe. Her work has been presented at many local festivals, as well as venues in Brussels and Salzburg. She has performed and collaborated locally with: Alisa Popova, Cameo, Lucie Baker, Coleman Pester, Elia Mrak, Daniel Agami, Kate Wallich | The YC, Tonya Lockyer, Jeffrey Fracé, PNB, ACT Theater, and more. In 2020/2021 she choreographed and edited the dance film version of "Heritance," a project envisioned and costumed by Margaret Chodos-Irvine (vimeo.com/ericabadgeley). She holds a BA in Dance from the University of Washington, Postgraduate in Performance from SEAD, Salzburg, and has been a certified GYROTONIC® trainer since 2010, currently teaching at Seattle Changing Room. She was a co-founder of Sh*t Gold Open Mic, and recently started a new Open Performance Night, "Short Shorts," with Alisa Popova (most 2nd & 4th Mondays at Artspace Hiawatha, @short__shorts__ , join us!).

Maia Melene Durfee is a Seattle freelance dancer and choreographer, who creates and researches movement that challenge the body and mind to thoughtfully display sensations, textures, and musicality. They hold a BFA in dance from Cornish College of the Arts and have traveled nationally and internationally to train with renowned conservatories, dancers, and companies. They dance and train with the local contemporary dance and Hip Hop / House communities, create their own work, and have performed with companies Zoe | Juniper and The Gray. They have had their choreography presented in a number of showcases and festivals, including ADF, BDF, Northwest Film Forum, 12 Minutes Max, The Bridge Project in collaboration with Ash Miller, and produced three evening length works and immersive dance events, Liminal, Ode, and ode • K’an. Maia works on exploring abstract and personal thoughts through movement, and works to meld their experience with street styles, contemporary dance and live music to create something immersive, intricate, vivid, and blank.

Maya Tacon (she/her) was born and raised in New York and graduated with honors from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. She has lived in Seattle for 6 years and has since performed for artists such as Cameo, Daniel Costa, Jordan Macintosh-Hougham, Melissa Riker, and Michelle Miller/Catapult Dance. Currently, Maya is one half of 'co—', a collaborative entity that produces dance performances and parties in vibrant locations across Seattle. She devotes time to cultivating community as a teacher for the worldwide family of DanceChurch®, as a Pilates instructor, and for Ballet Rituals, a technique class for professional movers. 

Rhea Keller is from Peoria, IL. She has danced with Island Moving Company (now Newport Contemporary Ballet), Central Illinois Ballet, and Rochester City Ballet performing works by José Limón, Staycee Pearl, Colin Connor, Bill Evans, and George Balanchine, among others. Since moving to Seattle, she has worked with Beth Terwilleger, Alana Rogers, Cameo, Bennyroyce Royon, Nikki Cardona, and Kyrin Grey. Her own work has been featured at the Rhode Island Women’s Choreography Project and Fuselage Dance Film Festival.
